Suddenly she wants to experience everything life has to offer before it’s too late; fantasy and reality become fused into one. This housewife experiences a life shattering reawakening. She is forced to choose between the picture perfect life she has and the unlimited possibilities of an existence that she has only dreamed of. Ultimately, this character learns that she might have to lose herself completely before she can find her true self once again. With her distinct use of words and brutal honesty, K. Jones paints a vivid picture of just how dangerous obsessions and desires can become.

This book struck a nerve. I read, no I ravenously consumed every line of the book and I am exhausted now. There is so much of me in this poetry that I went through a whirlwind of emotions. Reading on was sobering in a way as I never considered the conclusion of my own, personal escapades.
This book- with it’s dramatic,sexual,sometimes startling,blush inducing prose and poetry- kept me engaged and intrigued throughout. With many memorable passages that are fantastical and realistic at the same time-it’s a collection that many women would find relatable, and perhaps even tempted to have their own- Sanity Interrupted.
